So you know, in addition to providing testing services we also work closely with legislatures in an effort to ensure that testing regulations both ensure patient/consumer safety and aren’t over-burdensome on producers in the industry. In fact, we lobbied the State of Massachusetts to require testing years ago which caused a ripple effect in the industry. Since then, every new Medical/Adult-Use program has implemented testing requirements in an effort to ensure patient/consumer safety. These efforts among others have landed us a seat on the United States Pharmacopeia’s (USPs) Committee responsible for creating sensible regulations at the federal level. Of the 14-seats in the committee, only 3 are businesses in the cannabis/hemp industries! We will use this opportunity to ensure that all consumers can access safe, accurately labeled products without over-regulating producers, allowing the market to not only grow but thrive.
So, today – 4/20 – while millions are celebrating by consuming safe, uncontaminated products due to the sensible regulations currently in place in most jurisdictions, we ask you to please continue to support our mission by voting for Chris as the Cannabis Scientist of the Year!
