Immuno-Affinity Fluorometric Assay
Immuno-Affinity Fluorometric Assay (IA)
Mycotoxins are the metabolic byproduct of certain microorganisms. As microbes such as mold and yeast live and grow, they take in nutrients and excrete waste in the form of toxins. Cannabis or other natural products including those found in major agricultural industries can be screened for these potential contaminants using a variety of techniques, including the Immuno-Affinity based assays with fluorometric or mass spectrometric detection. Compounds such as Aflatoxin and Ochratoxin are separated and quantified using monoclonal antibodies ligated to a substrate or chromatography media.
Additional Methodologies Include:
- Ultra-Performance Convergence Chromatography (UPC2)
- Ultra-Performance Liquid Chromatography – Mass Spec (UPLC/MS/MS)
- Head-Space Gas Chromatography (HS-GC)
- Inductively-Coupled Plasma – Mass Spec (ICP-MS)
- Most Probable Number Enumeration (MPN)
- Enzyme Linked Fluorescence Assay (ELFA)
- Immuno-Affinity Fluorometric Assay (IA)
